A pretty cool guy

I grew up right here in Cornelius, attending Cornelius Elementary School and soaking up the community that now inspires so much of my work. From an early age, I had a passion for art. While other kids were perfecting their jump shots or trading baseball cards, I was sketching, painting, and diving headfirst into creativity—and I haven’t looked back since.

That passion led me to Appalachian State University, where I honed my skills and eventually became a key designer for Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff. After that, I ventured to Charlotte, where my career took a cinematic twist. I worked in the film industry on some incredible projects including Homeland, Lady and the Tramp, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife. But despite the Hollywood sparkle, my true calling has always been closer to home.

For the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Case Warnemunde to bring Bella Creative to life. Together, we’ve grown the dream into something truly special—a company that engages, inspires, and connects our community through art and design.

Now, I’m back in Cornelius, bringing everything I’ve learned to the place that shaped me. As Bella Creative’s Art Director, I’m all in—heart, humor, and a bit of hometown pride—to help make this community more vibrant and connected than ever.

What an Art Director brings to the table

As an Art Director, my role is about much more than creating visually appealing designs—it’s about crafting a vision that helps clients connect with their audience in meaningful ways. At Bella Creative, I work closely with clients to understand their unique goals, challenges, and identity. From concept to execution, every detail is approached with precision and purpose, ensuring that the end product not only looks great but resonates with the community it serves.

Design is a process, and it’s one I’m deeply passionate about. From the initial brainstorming and sketches to refining and finalizing a brand’s identity, I take pride in bringing clarity and cohesion to every project. A logo, a brand palette, or a marketing campaign is more than just an aesthetic choice—it’s a tool that communicates a message and builds recognition. My goal is to equip each client with those tools, helping their business stand out and thrive.

Attention to detail is critical in this work. Whether it’s ensuring the font size is accessible, colors evoke the right emotions, or a design scales perfectly across platforms, every decision matters. It’s this meticulous approach that ensures our clients have everything they need to present a polished, professional image to their community.

Ultimately, being an Art Director means combining creativity, strategy, and collaboration to help businesses not only reach their goals but also leave a lasting impact. It’s about taking pride in the process and delivering results that empower our clients to grow, connect, and inspire.
